About the Department
Deloitte East Africa has a well-versed Strategy & Operations team under the Consulting Department that is uniquely positioned to support the strategic agenda of our clients in the key domains of growth, business improvement & optimization, and strategic transformation. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic person to join our Consulting Department as a Monitoring & Evaluation Manager for MCF’s SLL programme. This position will be based in our Nairobi office in Kenya with frequent travel in select Countries in Africa.
The Saving Lives and Livelihoods (SLL) initiative is a partnership between the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) and the Mastercard Foundation (MCF) that has been implemented in phases. Phase one was a 3-year initiative that focused on rapid scale up COVID-19 vaccination on the continent with a target of achieving 70% coverage at the end of the project implementation period. This phase has since ended following the aftermath of WHO’s declaration of the end of COVID-19 pandemic as a public health international emergency concern. In the partnership, phase two will now focus on COVID-19 vaccination of frontline health workers, integrating COVID-19 vaccinations in routine MOH immunization services, preparing for future pandemics and strengthening capacity of Africa CDC.
Main purpose of the job
The Monitoring and Evaluation Manager will work under the direct supervision of the Deloitte EA (Kenya) Monitoring & Evaluation Technical Lead. He/she will coordinate implementation of monitoring & evaluation support in the Deloitte’s Mastercard Foundation Saving Lives and Livelihood (SLL) Phase 2 funded Programme in partnership with Africa CDC. He/she will provide technical guidance in implementation of comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation activities, data management, performance measurement and data quality processes, program evaluations and review of progress narrative reports.
